MILESTONES
1990 - Braking was founded in 1990 for the production and distribution of aftermarket brake discs.
1998 - Braking launched the first WAVE® disc in trial competitions.
1999 - Braking started its commercial operations in Germany.
2000 - Braking started its commercial operations in the USA.
2000 - Braking obtained the “UNI EN ISO 9002” certification.
2000 - Braking launched the first WAVE® disc in the aftermarket.
2000 - Braking reached 25 world titles.
2000 - Braking moved to the Briosco plant.
2001 - Braking launched the peripheral kit in the aftermarket.
2002 - Braking launched the first BATFLY® disc in off-road competitions.
2004 - Braking obtained the “UNI EN ISO 9001” certification.
2004 - Braking became part of the Sunstar family.
2005 - Kawasaki introduced a WAVE® disc as an OEM component in its road applications.
2005 - Braking reached 50 world titles.
2005 - Braking and Sunstar Engineering Europe merged into Braking-Sunstar SPA.
2006 - Braking entered the wheel business in collaboration with OZ.
2007 - Braking launched the first KRINOX racing disc.
2008 - Braking launched the first OPEN PIN disc.
2009 - Braking launched the first CAM CONTROL master cylinder.
2010 - Braking introduced the first range of WAVE® discs and brake pads for downhill bikes.
2014 - Braking reached 96 world titles and relocated to its Limbiate headquarters.
2016 - Braking reached 110 world titles.
2017 - Braking launched the INCAS 1 MTB braking system.
2018 - Braking introduced a new bicycle range and reached 119 world titles.
2018 - Braking launched the Epta road disc for motorcycles.
2019 - Braking reached 124 world titles.
2019 - Braking launched a disc line for UTVs and a scooter line.
2020 - Braking launched the INCAS 2.0 MTB braking system.
2022 - Braking reached 140 world titles.
2022 - Braking launched the Epta Stage 0 road disc for motorcycles.
2022 - Braking introduced the Stage 0 disc for MTB.
2022 - Braking launched the LightWave road bike disc.
2023 - Braking introduced the FIRST MTB braking system.
2023 - Braking relocated to its current headquarters in Giussano.
2024 - Braking became part of the SEFO group
